God Proof

God exists. We have the proof right here. Using very reliable and non-controversial statistics we are going to demonstrate that He exists and that he has a clear influence on world events.

The proof

The proof of God existence and the importance of prayer is very simple. We took 2 very reliable indexes:
  • God Belief index (World Values Survey 1999-2004)
  • Natural Hazards Index (World Bank 2005)
Obviously these things should not be linked if there is no God and if prayer has no impact on our daily lives.

Check the graph below the results will blow your mind.

These results that have been done by a university professor in statistics (who has studied statistics extensively) show beyond doubt that belief in god has a great impact on the disasters that strike a nation.

The more a nation believes in a deity the more natural disasters it will suffer.

Propablity of God Existance 95%

As for the question of probability - the regression table shows a 95%
confidence interval for the estimated coefficient. This helps one understand
how high and how low the actual population value of the parameter might be.
The confidence intervals are related to the p-values (P>|t| value = .001) such
that the coefficient will not be statistically significant if the confidence
interval brackets the value of zero. If you look at the confidence interval
for God Belief, you will see that it does not straddle zero, ranging from
(.0058951 to .0206333). We are highly certain (95 percent) that the observed
relationship between disaster risk and God Beleif is not a function of
statistical chance.

Data sources

"God Belief" came from the World Values Survey 1999-2004.
http://www.worldvaluessurvey.org/

Here's the language of the survey question:

F050. Which, if any, of the following do you believe in? (Read out and code
one answer for each)

God

0 No
1 Yes
--------

-1 Don´t know
-2 No answer
-3 Not applicable
-4 Not asked in survey
-5 Missing; Unknown

So, for each country we derive a percentage - the number of persons that
answer "yes" divided by the total number of persons surveyed, mulitplied by
100.

Here's the data source for the Natural Hazards Index.

Variable Reference Year: 2005
Description: Environmental Hazard Exposure Index

Units: An index of population-weighted exposure to high levels of
environmentally-related natural hazards.

Source: The World Bank.

Logic: Vulnerability to natural disasters is a function of the exposure to
hazards (how often and how severe they are), the sensitivity to such hazards
(how big the linkages are to social systems), and the resilience within a
society to hazard impacts. This measure provides a useful proxy of the
exposure term.

Methodology: To calculate the environmental hazard exposure index, data from
Dilley et al. were used. Data on exposure to landslides, droughts, cyclones
and floods were put into a consistent GIS database. The world's land area was
classified into degrees of exposure to these four hazards. Those grid cells
falling into the highest three deciles of exposure were flagged. The number of
high-exposure hazards was summed for each grid cell. The values range from
0-4. The resulting gridded data set was then overlaid with a gridded
population data set for the year 2000. Each person was assigned a score equal
to the number of high-exposure hazards identified in that grid cell. We
calculated the sum of personal exposure scores, and divided by the total
population, by country. The theoretically possible range was 0-4.

The data

We will post soon the actual sources of these numbers. For now here is the data that our professor used to make his graph.
